In my opinion, this leaves me no recourse other than to warn others not to make the mistake I made in trusting this company with my most valuable asset.
DRS did not obtain a permit for the work on my home nor a permit for the work on a house across the street. Of course, the city building officials did not inspect the work and said they would not take any action toward the contractor or fine them for not pulling a permit. Supposedly they had political cover.
At one point, DRS even denied ever performing the work until I produced contracts, invoices and payment documents. Then DRS hired a lawyer to threaten and intimidate me.
